Cost of raising my siblings

Hi, my name is Kennedy! I would like to share a bit of my story. In September 2022, at the age of 24, I was attending grad school in Detroit. I then found out my siblings were facing starvation, abuse and neglect. I immediately took action and ended up moving back home to Flushing and gaining full custody of my three younger siblings. I have been working full-time and taking care of my siblings full-time. We have come so far and met lots of goals. The kids have many challenges, facing past trauma and being far behind academically. I have had to completely shift my focus to making sure they’re well! I would not have it any other way. However, we could use some additional help! I do not receive any financial assistance from outside sources. (Not for lack of trying.) This is all out of pocket. You can imagine with tutoring, supplies, dental work, lice removal and everyday expenses- raising three kids can get expensive! I am not one to ask for help, but we are hoping to buy our forever home! I am looking to the community to help me continue to provide adequate care of my siblings.
