The Corn Grandmother Council is a diverse group of Grandmothers from across North America, united by a shared commitment to the Corn Mother Dream. Our mission is to hold sacred space for corn ceremonies and help reconnect the people of Turtle Island to the Corn Mother, honoring ancient traditions and fostering inter-generational trauma healing.
We are seeking support for the grandmothers to travel to the Onondaga Nation where they will meet with indigenous members of Braiding The Sacred, view their sacred seed collection, and then to and Stockbridge, MA, where they will pray and hold ceremony to bring healing of inter-generational trauma to all our relations. This journey is especially meaningful, as some of our grandmothers are elderly and may not have another opportunity to make this pilgrimage. The more grandmothers we can bring, the stronger our prayers and ceremonies will be, benefiting not only our group but the wider community as well.
Funds raised will help cover travel costs and accommodations, ensuring that as many grandmothers as possible can participate in this important gathering. Your support will help us honor our elders, strengthen our traditions, and bring powerful prayers to the Onondaga and Stockbridge communities at a crucial time.
