About Cori: She has one older brother and one younger sister. She is in the 8th grade and loves to talk with her friend on the phone, spoiling her nephews, all while being spoiled by her father. She has a love of all things beauty and plans to be CEO of her own corporation in the future. She is a well-behaved student with good grades and is loved by all her teachers. Beyond being a young teenager, she always had a heart for helping and giving. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic at the age of 9, she wanted to do something to help those who were in need. However, she didn't have the resources to achieve that goal, so, as her mother, I created a name for her outreach and started to put together a plan. We developed the 3 C's, and Cori Caring 4 the Community was established.

Testing Year: We then created a fundraiser on Facebook to help her meet a smaller goal, and she was blessed to meet that goal. With those donations, she was able to make 30 individual bags to be distributed to the homeless community in our city. Each bag included non-perishable food, water, snacks, and personal hygiene products. While we are grateful for those who gave on Facebook, we realize some individuals do not have Facebook or other social media platforms to help meet or exceed this new goal.

Official Year 1: Cori Caring 4 her community was seeking assistance to make at least 50 individual bags to be distributed throughout her community. 100% of those donations will be used to purchase one hot meal, non-perishable food, water, personal hygiene, and other necessary items.

Official Year 2 In 2024, Cori set a goal of $500, and she met this goal with your donations. Once we reached that goal, we were able to pass out at least 50 bags at the Homeless shelter in our community. During this time, we revamped her organization's name to her namesake CORI = Community, Outreach, Resilience, and Interconnected.

Official Year 3 Update (2025):

In 2025, Cori set a fundraising goal of $700. Although the full amount was not raised through GoFundMe alone, she successfully reached her overall goal through a combination of GoFundMe, Cash App, and cash donations.

With these funds, Cori achieved her objective of creating 75 individual care bags for members of the community. In addition, she was able to distribute clothing and blankets donated by her church family. To further support those served, Cori also provided a hot meal consisting of chicken wings and baked spaghetti, along with snacks, water, and juice.

Official Year 4 (2026): Official Year 4 Update:

As we move into Year 4, our hearts are set on not only continuing the impact we made in Year 3, but expanding it. By increasing our GoFundMe goal, we hope to provide support beyond our June event and reach even more individuals in need throughout the year.

Cori’s vision is simple but powerful: to have individual care bags ready in her car so that whenever she sees someone in need, on a hot summer day or a cool fall afternoon, she can help immediately. While our annual event serves those within our local community, we know there are many who cannot attend due to transportation or distance. This effort allows us to meet people where they are, with dignity, care, and compassion.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps place food, essentials, and hope into someone’s hands. Your generosity helps turn small moments of kindness into lasting impact, and reminds those we serve that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
