Hi, we are Friends of Corey Shearer Memorial Bench and Garden.

Corey Self-Shearer, a 20 year-old lone resident had his life brutally ripped away from him on August 5, 2022.

There have been no arrests.

We would like to dedicate a Bench in

memory of Corey.

His parents will never recover, however, we

are hoping this Bench will bring them,

Family, Friends and Community some sort of comfort.

We have found a perfect vacant area on Castle Oaks Drive to place the Memorial

Bench, which the lone City Council unanimously approved.

Eventually, providing we have a water source, we would like to expand in this area to become lone Memorial Garden. A place where people can have a plant and plaque dedicated to their loved ones.

We are reaching out to our Community to help us complete the Memorial Bench Area in any way they can, whether it be skills, supplies or donations would be greatly appreciated.
