Dear friends and compassionate strangers,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for your support for our dear friend, Paula and her family.

Recently, Paula’s family received the news that her nephew Corey,beloved member of the family, had been diagnosed with an aggressive type of blood cancer,Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

They have been told that the best option for cure is a Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant.

Without the transplant Corey has a 10% chance of survival.

Sadly his brothers were not a match.

There has only been 1 match in the entire world that is on the register .. a lady in Germany and they are still unsure if she can donate.

The donor age is 18-35 .. which rules more than half of Corey’s family.

This go fund me, is a way that we can ALL help.

Not only by donating to help Corey and his wonderful support team but to start a conversation with your adult children, nieces, nephews, siblings in that age group, about donating blood AND opting to be put on the bone marrow registry. It takes a cheek swab to be placed on the register.

Not only as a possible match for our Corey but to help anyone else going through blood cancer or needing a transplant. Everyday Australians need blood, plasma and platelets. Corey has had 3 bags of platelets just this week. Any donation you make helps.

This illness has not only affected Corey, but has also placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on the entire family. They are navigating a difficult journey filled with medical appointments, treatments, and the need for specialized care, all while trying to maintain some semblance of normalcy.

We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial strain they are facing. The funds raised will go directly towards:

* Medical expenses not covered by Medicare

* Transportation costs for hospital visits

* Home care services to provide comfort and support

* Family expenses to ensure they can focus on spending time together
