Our dear friend and devoted mother of three, Cora Thomas, has recently received the devastating news of being diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. This shocking revelation has not only shattered her world but has also left her loved ones in a state of disbelief.

Cora, a hardworking mother of three incredible children - Logan (16), Jacob (10), and Phoebe (8) - as well as a devoted dog mom to Milo, is also the beloved partner of Gary.

The impact of this diagnosis on their lives as well as the lives of their loved ones, is truly beyond imagination. Cora has had to stop working, deals with frequent seizures, and can no longer drive. She is now facing a series of scans and a monumental operation scheduled for October 2023.

Following the surgery, Cora will have to endure an intensive round of radiation and chemotherapy. Adding to the devastation, her surgeon has informed her that the tumour cannot be completely removed and is likely to return and worsen in grade. However, until the operation is performed, a definitive prognosis cannot be given.

But Cora is a fighter! The next crucial step in her battle will be the most challenging one yet, as she combats the symptoms from surgery and embarks on her post-operative recovery and rehabilitation.

Many friends have asked, "How can I help?" Well, here's how.

Cora's GoFundMe page has been created to support her and her family throughout this arduous journey. The first priority is to convert their family home to include a downstairs bedroom, providing Cora with a comfortable space to recover, rehabilitate, and heal while surrounded by her loving family. The funds raised here will contribute to this conversion, which has already begun with Cora's own efforts to save from her already diminished income.

It will greatly contribute to funding the families' visits to and from the hospital, which involves a challenging 180-mile round trip. Additionally, it will alleviate the burden of day-to-day household tasks, allowing Gary to focus on caring for Cora and their children while maintaining his job.

Cora and Gary have tirelessly worked to establish a loving family home for themselves and their children. They have poured their efforts into providing for their family and were eagerly planning their wedding, scheduled for October 2024. Cora holds onto this vision as her personal goal, envisioning herself walking down the aisle in her carefully chosen dress, surrounded by their cherished friends and family.
