Hi, the residents of Stockingstone Road, Northview Road, St Martins Ave and Heywood Drive are engaged in a proactive but positive group objecting to the proposed development of the Co-op Club and it's surrounding woodland. This developer has applied for the erection of 63 dwellings which would be built on the existing Co-op club and a woodland. We believe that the application is severely flawed and have challenged many aspects of it including the potential misclassification of the woodland as brownfield land. Whilst so far, we have been very lucky with the generosity shown by many professionals sympathetic to our cause, there is only so much "goodwill" we can rely on. We are getting to a point where it will be necessary to engage a qualified and experienced advisor and this will come at a cost.
We are asking for donations - no matter how small, anything that can be spared will help us. If we are lucky enough to get this application rejected then the money will be returned to the donor or, can be used in a community project, whichever is acceptable
Thank you to everyone who has objected so far; let's keep going and let's save our Club and Canopy! Please share this far and wide - we have also included the hyperlink below to the application to enable you to keep update with the latest uploads.
