Conway Architectural Salvage and Heritage Project

Donation protected
Conway Architectural Salvage and Heritage Project is a nonprofit dedicated to reinvesting Horry County’s historic used building materials, especially the wood, back into our communities.

We do this by
  • Deconstructing homes that have been determined to be beyond repair
  • Recording the process live to recreate deconstructed buildings in VR format, to appear alongside the written history of the structures and the people who gave them life
  • Processing the recovered materials (denailing, measuring, etc.)
  • And providing equal access to these materials for reuse in our community

We will be working with community partners, such as Coastal Carolina University, in these endeavors.

We now ask for your support, starting with donations of any amount.

This money will go to the refurbishment of Conway’s historic lumberyard, McIver-Shaw Lumber Co., established in 1946. This yard will soon serve as our base of operations!

Thank you for your support! We look forward to building this community center devoted to People, Place, and Planet with YOU!
