Contributing to the New Chapter for the Chisms

October 22nd, 2017, Tim and Leisha Chism endured something that nothing could have prepared them for.  Leisha was 6 weeks pregnant when she started having severe pain in her abdomen which she tried to handle at home for a few days. Finally, Tim persuaded her to go to the Bellevue ER where after extensive tests they discovered fluid of unknown origin in her abdomen. Dr. Moore was called in and she had to perform emergency surgery where she discovered that Leisha had an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured internally and she was hemorrhaging inside. They removed her left fallopian tube and cleaned everything up during the surgery.
Tim had to leave for the military where he was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq for one year. Upon Tim's return home, they continued to try to get pregnant without success.
Fast Forward to last Thursday... Leisha had an appointment with Dr. Julie Tan (wait, do you really want to know her last name?  Okay... Tantibhedhyangkul :) )
She explained to Leisha and to Tim and I via FaceTime, that Leisha's remaining tube is completely blocked, as well as severely damaged.  The only recourse is to have surgery at Cleveland Clinic Fairview to remove the damaged tube and anything else that might come to play, we won't know until they are in surgery.
Leisha will have two weeks recovery time and then another two weeks before they can begin the only way they have left to attempt pregnancy, IVF. (In Vitro Fertilization). Leisha has adored babies and cared for them all of her life and Tim has the same heart. Their desire is to have a baby of their own if that is in God's plan for them.
Tim and Leisha have saved up as much as they can for this process and have done their due diligence financially,  but that has been extremely challenging. Leisha was off work for several weeks because of Covid and not willing to jeopardize being able to take me to chemo, unfortunately, as of today, she still has not received her unemployment.
Here is where you  come in, #1 we are asking for prayers and good thoughts towards this miracle happening.  #2 we are putting this out there to see if any of you would feel led to give towards their journey.  I chose the goal amount based on what they will be required to pay out of pocket for this procedure and process. Insurance covers very little of IVF, which is another story for another day. :(
Any amount you would feel compelled to give would be an invaluable benefit to Tim and Leisha. #thethirdchism
