Contribute to the development of schools in Papua, Indonesia

Hello everyone!

We are 16 students from the school Wolfert Tweetalig located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We will be traveling to Papua, Indonesia to engage in meaningful projects helping the local communities living in this region. This will be done at a remote area school located on the island of Gam. This will be a 2 week long journey where we dedicate time to the helping of the school. Our volunteering program will cover an assortment of things:

- Improve school facilities, as we've done in the past years by providing running water and electricity, with student involvement.

- Create and teach lessons on-site, with workshops in music, drama, art, and dance.

- Creating cultural exchange between students from the Netherlands and Papua

- Organize activities at local primary schools.

- Promote environmental awareness, addressing Indonesia’s significant plastic pollution issue.

To help improve these issues currently going on in Papua there is a need for money, we will use this to provide the students with school supplies and also to get us to Papua. Your donation would be greatly appreciated offering substantial help to our cause and the future of Papua.

All the donations will entirely be given to the organisation SDSP in Papua.

This community service project, also known as IMAS, is something we do every year at various locations around the world, with the central goal of helping others. "What can we do for others?" is our motivation for the IMAS. In this way, we have completed wonderful projects in many different countries, including in Africa and Eastern Europe.

Hallo allemaal!

Wij zijn 16 leerlingen van de school Wolfert Tweetalig in Rotterdam, Nederland. Wij reizen binnenkort naar Papua, Indonesië, om ons in te zetten voor betekenisvolle projecten die de lokale gemeenschappen in deze regio ondersteunen. Dit doen we op een afgelegen school op het eiland Gam. Het wordt een reis van twee weken waarin we ons richten op het helpen van de school. Ons vrijwilligersprogramma omvat verschillende activiteiten:

- Verbeteren van schoolfaciliteiten, zoals we in de afgelopen jaren hebben gedaan door het voorzien van stromend water en elektriciteit, met betrokkenheid van leerlingen.

- Creëren en geven van lessen op locatie, met workshops in muziek, drama, kunst en dans.

- Bevorderen van culturele uitwisseling tussen leerlingen uit Nederland en Papua.

- Organiseren van activiteiten op lokale basisscholen.

- Promoten van milieubewustzijn, met aandacht voor het plasticvervuilingsprobleem in Indonesië.

Om deze uitdagingen in Papua aan te pakken, is er geld nodig. Hiermee kunnen we schoolbenodigdheden aanschaffen voor de leerlingen en onze reis naar Papua mogelijk maken. Uw donatie wordt enorm gewaardeerd en biedt belangrijke steun aan ons doel en de toekomst van Papua.

Alle donaties gaan volledig naar de organisatie SDSP in Papua.

Dit vrijwilligersproject, ook wel bekend als IMAS, organiseren we elk jaar op verschillende locaties wereldwijd, met als centrale doel om anderen te helpen. "Wat kunnen we voor anderen doen?" is onze motivatie voor de IMAS. Op deze manier hebben we al prachtige projecten gerealiseerd in verschillende landen, waaronder Afrika en Oost-Europa.
