Continuing Support for Ingrid Encalada
Donation protected
It's now 2021 and Ingrid Encalada Latorre has been living in sanctuary for nearly 4 years with her family, and fighting her deportation case for over 10 years. While she received a pardon from Governor Polis in December of 2019, there is still another major issue with her immigration case that needs to be resolved in order for her to leave sanctuary and live freely without the fear of deportation. While in sanctuary she cannot work and continues to rely on our community's financial support.
Ingrid signed a voluntary deportation order under the advice of a previous lawyer, but never fulfilled the voluntary deportation. Further, no lawyer since has fought to have the consequences of the voluntary deportation order removed from her record. Unfortunately, removing the consequences is an extremely difficult and complicated issue and in order to have the best chance possible at removing the consequences Ingrid sought out a new lawyer who has the time and expertise to dedicate to these details of her case. Ingrid is asking for your support with these legal fees so that she can stay in the United States and continue to be with her children and community.
