Alaina "Lainy" Sharpe, was 14 years old when she passed away after courageously battling a rare form of childhood cancer. Though her time here was brief, Lainy's love, faith and kindness left an everlasting mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Throughout her treatment, she was inspired by her fellow pediatric patients, and knew she wanted to do something to help give back to the kids fighting alongside her. She helped raise funds to open a play zone at her local hospital, as well as "Lainy's Garden" which serves as a peaceful sanctuary for patients to get outside and take a break. To honor her legacy, the Lainy's Light Foundation will continue her mission of bringing hope, faith and support to children and families facing pediatric illness.
