Continuing Dora's Legacy at Footprints of Hope

Donation protected
Mwapoleni (Hello) from the team at Footprints of Hope, Dora Moono Nyambe's school in Mapapa, Zambia.
We're a small school in rural Zambia with the mission to help our children, providing them with shelter, food, and quality education from our amazing team of teachers and caretakers, working together to carry on Dora's legacy.
Since her passing, we've continued her work, caring for the children she loved, and the school she built for them.
This school and its mission to shift the lens of what development means in Zambia only exists because of the generosity and empathy of people like you who believe, like Dora, that kindness is free and that change starts with each of us.
The school's GoFundMe had been down for some time, but we're excited to announce this is the new GoFundMe to help us continue helping our students, our school, and our community.

-------------------------------------------

Dora Moono Nyambe was a mother, educator, leader, director, inspiration, and all-around a person so amazing it's difficult to describe her in a single title.
She used her talents as an educator and communicator to show the world what life is like in rural Zambia, a country commonly overlooked by the rest of the world, and the struggles facing Zambians in these rural areas.
Whether it was food scarcity, drought, child abuse, teen pregnancies, or any of the other myriad of challenges Dora and her team saw in their community, they faced it head-on, with the belief that development and change had to start with good people doing good work on the ground, not with lofty goals from organizations that wished well, but lacked a personal connection with the people they helped.
Overtime, the work she did got the attention of more and more people. Viral videos, news articles, and eventually development projects with Mr. Beast's Beast Philanthropy with Give Power, providing solar power, lighting, and wifi to connect the school.
The school grew, and by the time of her passing, the school had well over 500 students, many of which live there, with the rest transported daily via buses (an impossibility before Dora and Footprints). She adopted 13 wonderful, amazing, creative kids, and grew her staff of teachers to include the most inspired, hard-working, and talented teachers I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

This GoFundMe allows all of you who have followed along with her journey and believe in our mission to join us in helping the children of our community.
