Support Bexi's Work On Sjogren's Advocate
Bexi (Rebecca Lobo, PhD), is a freelance editor, scientist, and skin care practitioner living with Sjogren’s (SHOW-grins). She has deep experience editing scientific manuscripts and writing about complex science for the layperson. She has designed, built, and edited Sjogren’s Advocate off and on over the last three years.
Bexi’s editorial and technical support free up Dr. Sarah Schafer to work on new Sjogren’s Advocate content. Please read MOVING FORWARD to learn about Dr. Schafer’s work and why professional support from Bexi is essential.
Sjogren’s Advocate provides self-advocacy tools and strategies that people with Sjogren's can use to get better medical care, especially when it comes to the systemic (non-dryness) aspects of Sjogren's. Sjogren’s Advocate has helped many people get proper diagnosis and care in a system that tends to ignore and downplay this serious autoimmune disease.
Until this spring, most of Bexi’s contributions were as a volunteer but this arrangement is not sustainable. Therefore, this GoFundMe campaign exists to raise $12,000 to pay for the next 4-6 months of Bexi’s work on Sjogren’s Advocate. WE'RE MAKING GREAT STRIDES details what we accomplished with your donations from the GoFundMe Campaign in April 2023. For Sjogren’s Advocate updates, please subscribe to the mailing list.
Please offer only what you can comfortably give. Sjogren’s Advocate will continue to be freely available to everyone, regardless of your ability to donate. If you prefer to write a check, please contact Bexi through this page (see the green contact button below) for instructions on where to mail the check.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR DONATION IS NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
Thank you, in advance, for your generosity and support.
