Contemi Charity Challenge for Financial Security

The financial services industry has a large impact on people’s financial security, and the need to support stable and resilient financial futures is growing. Economic challenges from a lack of access to financial services has continued to impact marginalized communities more than others. Many people around the world remain underinsured or not insured at all, leaving them and their dependents financially vulnerable.

At Contemi we have a vision to make financial security accessible to all. We work every day to use technology and innovation to facilitate seamless information flow within financial services, fostering financial security.

Since we want to do more, we have launched our Global Charity Challenge. After research and a voting process, Contemi employees decided that the reputable and impactful Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation should administer the funds we raise. This NGO works to expand access to digital financial services so the poorest people around the globe can build security and prosperity for themselves, their families, and their communities. This partnership ensures transparency, accountability, and the efficient allocation of resources to initiatives that directly address financial security. The funds will be used to support programs and projects aimed at providing financial education, access to financial services, and economic empowerment opportunities to vulnerable populations worldwide. More specifically, and since it is their preference in donations, this donation will be done through Gates Philanthropy Partners.

Ensuring financial security for all is not an easy task. Hence, we needed to match this with an ambitious goal for our team. We will therefore virtually cover the distance between all our global offices through running, cycling, walking, swimming, etc. We will start in Melbourne and continue to Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Hing Kong, New Delhi, before we start on the longest distance over to Leicester. After that we will leave the UK and head to Malmö before we finish in our Oslo office.
