I am asking for your support to initiate ongoing social gatherings here at our 8 acre venue in Olympia, WA (and online) centering QT + BIPOC communities and our allies. Starting in March 2022, we'll begin recurring social gatherings designed to connect us to one another in fun and creativity, as well as help us transmute the shadows we’ve been carrying from lifetimes of ancestral trauma.

I know firsthand the alienation one feels as a poor person of color living in this region of the U.S. Currently, many of us feel isolated and alone, and need a way to come together in support of each other during these unsettling times. I love to offer other marginalized folks opportunities to feel connected, seen, and valued. And I have learned from our experiences in life that we need a safe space to gather, recreate, and share our wisdom, stories, and cultures. Coming together in authenticity on any platform is powerful and inspiring. The time is now. And I have the venue...

Here on our 8 acre property/sustainable community/collective we have a sizable organic farm, community garden, greenhouses, 6 camping sites , tea lounge, beautiful 7 bedroom main house with community areas and rooms such as a large kitchen, community office, healing room with massage table, media room, and laundry room. Conscious Culture Cooperative  is a healing ground for teachers to share our wisdom, cultural traditions, tools, and codes with the community...as well as a venue for authenticity, self expression, and play...centering BIPOC, women, and queer/trans folks. 

In addition to our courses, workshops, and seminars, we host monthly Open Mics (music, prose/poetry, stand up comedy), a Local Artisans Market, Native Plant Walks, New Moon & Full Moon Ceremonies, and Ecstatic Dances. Our workshops are facilitated by different community members that are experts in their field and have a defined focus; such as Shamanic Tools for Healing (a skill share), Releasing Trauma & Celebrating Change with Creativity, and much more. During the winter we meet predominantly online, but when warm weather returns in Spring, we meet outdoors...with food from our organic farm, lush nature and fresh air, dancing, camping, live music, and story-telling...

We ask for your contributions to further support grassroots organizing and outreach, building indoor/outdoor meeting spaces, a small daycare for the community, repairs and maintenance, and overhead costs. If we are able to raise enough money in this start-up phase, we can sustain ourselves from our various revenue streams and donations from community events. Thank you for your support.

 

For those of you who don’t know me, I am a long-time community advocate, activist, Creative , spiritual life coach , and alumnus of Evergreen Stage College, class of 1999. In addition to my entrepreneurial projects, I am a single mother of two little ones. It has always been my Dream to raise them in a village, and I’m so grateful to be able to now. After selling everything and leaving Hawaii in 2018 to travel in my RV with my 3 year old son from the Pacific Northwest to CA, the Southwest, then back up again, I was given "landlordship" of a delightful 8 acre property here in Olympia, WA. Seeing myself as a steward of the land, and believing strongly in co-creation, with other community members help, we have been turning it into a sustainable community, organic farm, and non-profit cooperative called Conscious Culture Cooperative. I have undergone many trials along this journey, which has had a steep learning curve, however my greatest fuel is the desire to create conscious culture and community, and a safe place for us all to connect in authenticity.
