Connection & Community: Supporting Taryn
Our dear friend, Jen, passed away on April 3, 2019 of liver failure related to her breast cancer diagnosis. Jen was a beautiful person full of light and love and even when faced with darkness, she searched for the light. She was a yogi, a writer, a friend, daughter, and a mother to a daughter who she cherished so much and love deeply. Jen wrote poetry about love, difficulties, yoga, relationships, change, healing, trust, and so many more meaningful topics. She was an incredible, inspirational writer - her words are spiritual, intense, loving, heart-opening and healing. She wrote to help process life and to move toward healing body, mind & spirit, not just for herself, but for all of us. Please read some of her posts on her Instagram page: @oceanmala.
We are setting up this Go Fund Me for Taryn, her daughter, to give her a foundation of support as she moves on with her life, without her Mom. Taryn just returned to NH and is currently living with friends and does not have a vehicle. The funds raised will help her tremendously and we know that Jen would be very happy that Taryn has this support as she grieves her Mom’s passing and figures out the next phase of her life. We hope that this fund will help Taryn get settled and to show Taryn that there is a world of love and support around her, even if she might not know it. The amount of love that Jen had and gave to Taryn is an amount that will take an army to come together and match... and we are hoping that this is a good way to remind Taryn that she's loved near & afar.
From her sister, Kim Pape:
Jen was a wild and free spirit who lived life on her terms. She was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. She wanted to heal holistically, she believed very strongly in her path of treatment, and we as a family supported her decisions and her journey despite the difficulty, at times. She followed her path until the end, lived life on her terms and fought like the wild woman she was. There aren’t words for the grief and depth of pain at our loss of her spirit in our lives. I’m proud of her for standing strong in her beliefs and staying true to herself. Above all else she was an amazing mother who adored her daughter – the sun rose and set on her beautiful daughter, Taryn.
