My name is Kenneth Johnson, founder of Sovereign Mobility Group LLC (SMG). I created SMG around a simple belief: where someone lives should not determine whether they can get to the care they need.
Across rural Alabama, transportation can become a major barrier for people who need to reach dialysis treatments, medical appointments, therapy, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, work, and other essential destinations. For individuals who live outside major transportation networks, something as basic as getting to an appointment can require traveling significant distances and depending on family, friends, or transportation that may not always be available.
Sovereign Mobility Group is being built to help close that gap.
Our goal is to launch a dependable transportation service serving rural communities in and around Montgomery County, including areas such as Hope Hull, Fort Deposit, Ramer, Pintlala, and Montgomery, with the ability to expand as the company grows.
SMG will initially provide transportation for ambulatory passengers, including individuals who may use a cane or folding walker. We are building the service around reliability, dignity, professionalism, and compassionate assistance from the passenger’s door to their destination.
What Your Support Will Help Build
This campaign isn’t simply about purchasing a vehicle. It’s about putting an entire transportation service on the road.
Funds raised will help cover the critical startup expenses necessary to launch SMG, including transportation capacity, commercial insurance, licensing and regulatory requirements, vehicle preparation and branding, charging infrastructure, dispatch and communication technology, safety and operating equipment, marketing and community outreach, and initial working capital.
Our long-term vision goes beyond individual rides. We want to develop relationships with healthcare facilities, dialysis centers, hospitals, clinics, community organizations, and other partners so that dependable transportation becomes another resource available to the communities we serve.
We also believe transportation can be provided in a way that looks toward the future. As SMG develops its fleet, our vision includes incorporating electric vehicles and lower-emission transportation options where practical, helping us combine healthcare access with responsible transportation.
More Than a Ride
Imagine living miles away from your dialysis center and needing treatment several times every week.
Imagine being an older adult who has a medical appointment but no longer drives.
Imagine having the appointment scheduled, the doctor waiting, and the treatment available — but no dependable way to get there.
That’s the problem Sovereign Mobility Group wants to help solve.
A successful launch means more than vehicles on the road. It means helping someone reach dialysis consistently. It means helping a senior maintain independence. It means connecting rural residents with healthcare providers and essential services that may otherwise feel out of reach.
Help Us Put Possibility in Motion
Every contribution — large or small — helps us move closer to launching this service.
And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign is also a meaningful way to support our mission. One share could introduce SMG to a future passenger, healthcare partner, community supporter, or someone who simply believes rural communities deserve better access to transportation.
We’re building Sovereign Mobility Group around people, places, and possibility.
Thank you for believing in the vision and helping us build a transportation service designed to connect rural Alabama with the care and opportunities it deserves.
