Help Congolese Women Learn Self-Defense

My name is Sihem and I'm helping a non-profit organization called Self-Defense Maman to raise funds and teach women in the DRC to learn self-defense techniques.

Self-Defense Maman is an organization funded in 2022 in the Tanganiyka province in the East region of the Democratic Region of Congo. Since their launch, they have trained over 400 women to defensive techniques inspired by martial arts (kung-fu, taekwondo, etc.) in the Fizi community they serve.

Self-Defense Maman also provides psychological and emotional support to women and girls victims of sexual assaults when traveling from their village to their farm fields.

There is a lot of tabou

Their mission is to expand their training and support across the region. To do so, they need to acquire a truck they will convert into a mobile center providing medical support.

The cost of the truck and the equipment they're trying to purchase amount for $66,000. I'm helping them to reach their goal by providing social media awareness and visibility and translating most of their content.
