Condolence Support for our Life President Amas

Dear Friends and Community Members,

Our African Community Centre Wales are sad to announce that we have lost a true giant of Africa. Our great Iroko Tree has fallen. Our patron, elder statesman, creative artist, musician, visual artist, sculptor, playwriter and director Gbubemi Amas passed away and went to be with his ancestors on Sunday the 26th of March 2023 at 1.45pm surrounded by all his family.

He privately battled pancreatic cancer and fought valiantly throughout. We are devastated that he passed from this condition.

We invite you as our friends to contribute funds as a gesture of support to his family to assist with the costs of the funeral. Your gifts no matter how small will be a gesture of goodwill and will be greatly appreciated.

All donations will go to Chief Amas's family at this sad time. May he rest in perfect peace.
