Concert For A K9

A little bio to all of those who may not know me. My name is Kaley Bastine. At six years old, I made a decision to raise funds for my local police department in Harrison Twp after learning about the loss of Brian Shaw from New Ken in 2017. Motivated to help them stay safe, I organized a lemonade stand on July 4, 2018, raising $106. Encouraged by the support of officers from Brackenridge and Harrison, I expanded my efforts, aiming to raise money for a K9 unit. Though initially told they lacked the resources for a K9, I continued with lemonade stands, cookie sales, and car washes, ultimately raising over $20k. This enabled them to acquire a drone named after me and purchase protective vests. Subsequently, I raised funds for New Kensington PD K9’s, Lower Burrell PD K9, and assisted the Harrison Twp chief with training and equipment needs, totaling now nearly $76k with doing bake sales, candy stands, ice cream social, on my birthday a fundraiser with a dunk tank and last a pizza with a purpose . Despite unexpected challenges, I never gave up on my dream of a K9. Now thanks to Country Artist Brian Kelley, 423 Productions, No Off Season Entertainment and Tarentum Police it’s finally coming true! Brian Kelley will be performing at No Off Season August 9.
