Concerned Citizens of South Dade

Concerned Citizens of South Dade "CCOSD" is a neighborhood advocacy group established in 2019  by neighbors and friends in the South Dade Park neighborhood.  The group formed in  response to an  intrusion of  inconsistent development patterns into single-family residential districts west of Old Dixie Highway.

Over the past couple of years, the South Dade area has seen an explosion in multifamily, high density development along US-1 and the Busway.  Unfortunately,  this one size fits all approach from Miami-Dade County to increase density, intensity and height along the US-1 corridor, from Dadeland to Florida City did not take into account each of the unique existing residential communities abutting the corridor.

Today, we find ourselves defending our neighborhoods from the  onslaught of inconsistent development and rezoning request that  impact the character and the quality of life of our established single-family neighborhoods.  To continue this fight we need you support.  Your financial contribution in any amount will allow us to continue to advocate for the protection of our neighborhoods.

Mission Statement  –  Advocating for quality of life issues and  for the preservation and protection of our neighborhoods from incompatible development.
