Mi nombre es Leah Tavarez, tengo 6 años y estoy enfrentando el cáncer por segunda vez leucemia linfoblastica aguda.

Cuando parecía que habíamos superado la batalla, la enfermedad regresó. Hoy mi familia y yo volvemos a luchar con todas nuestras fuerzas, confiando en que esta vez también podremos salir adelante.

Soy la menor de cuatro hermanos. Mi mamá es madre soltera y permanece a mi lado día y noche en el hospital para acompañarme durante mi tratamiento. Su prioridad ha sido cuidar de mí, y por esa razón tubo que dejar de trabajar.

Mientras enfrentamos esta segunda etapa, también estamos atravesando una situación económica muy difícil. Necesitamos ayuda para cubrir el alquiler y los gastos básicos de nuestro hogar mientras mi mamá continúa conmigo en el hospital.

My name is Leah Tavarez. I am 6 years old, and I am fighting cancer for the second time—Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Just when it seemed that we had won the battle, the cancer came back. Today, my family and I are fighting once again with all our strength, believing that we can overcome it this time too.

I am the youngest of four siblings. My mom is a single mother who stays by my side day and night at the hospital while I receive my treatment. Her priority has always been taking care of me, and because of that, she had to leave her job.

As we face this second battle, we are also going through a very difficult financial situation. We need help covering our rent and our family's basic living expenses while my mom continues to stay with me in the hospital.
