PLEASE HELP LEAH FIGHT AGAIN ❤️
My name is Leah Tavarez. I am six years old, the youngest of four siblings: Anthony, Nathaly, and my twin sister, Camila.
When I was only two and a half years old, I was just beginning to discover what life was all about. But one day, everything changed.
My mom, Leidy Molina, rushed me to the emergency room because I had extremely high fevers and stopped wanting to eat.
On October 5, 2022, my family heard the words that changed our lives forever:
“Your daughter has acute lymphoblastic leukemia.”
I was only two and a half years old.
I didn't understand what cancer was. I didn't understand why I had to be in the hospital. I didn't understand why doctors kept giving me chemotherapy or why I had to be poked with needles over and over again.
I only knew that my mommy was always there.
She held my hand. She stayed beside me. She cried when I couldn't see. And together, we fought.
After years of chemotherapy, medications, hospital visits, fear, and uncertainty, on December 27, 2024, I rang the hospital bell.
That bell meant I had finished my treatment.
For my family, it was one of the happiest days of our lives.
I thought I was finally going to be able to be a little girl again.
I thought the hospital was behind me.
I thought the cancer was gone.
But cancer had other plans.
On June 24, 2026, during what was supposed to be another follow-up appointment, my mommy received the news no mother ever wants to hear:
MY CANCER HAD COME BACK.
Our happiness turned into fear all over again.
I am still too young to understand why this is happening to me. My mommy tells me that the doctors are fighting to make me better and that they are trying to clean my blood.
So once again, I am back in the hospital.
Once again, I am facing chemotherapy.
Once again, there are needles, procedures, long days, and nights in a hospital room.
And now, I am waiting for a bone marrow transplant.
I am only six years old.
I should be playing, laughing, going to school, and growing up with my brothers and my twin sister.
Instead, I am fighting cancer for the second time.
I already rang the bell once. Now I am fighting for the day I can ring it again. ❤️
My family needs help. My mommy has had to put so much of her life on hold to stay by my side and care for me through this battle.
If you can donate, no amount is too small.
If you cannot donate, please share my story.
If you cannot share, please pray for me.
Because behind every donation is a little girl who is fighting for her life.
My name is Leah. I am six years old. I have already fought cancer once. Now I am fighting it again.
Please don't let me fight alone. ❤️
Help me get to the day when I can ring that bell again.
