Completing the Office Building Renovation

Tax deductible
Just over 2 years ago, the Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery began the task of restoring the two-story historic office building at 6201 Kingsessing Ave.  The office was built in 1907 and after the cemetery was abandoned in 2011 it was in disrepair after many years of neglect.

With the help of many donors, we raised just over $30,000! These funds helped us replace concrete in the basement foundation that was near collapse, replace the roof, install new downspouts & gutters, install a new steel security door, restore basic electric and water service, and remove mountains of debris.

With this final phase of restoration work, we plan to finish off the building into a truly usable space that will stand the test of time.

Our benchmark goals are:

Electrical work - $10,000
Windows - $4,000
Heaters - $4,000
Drywall - $3,000
Paint - $2,000
Ceiling - $3,500
Flooring -$3,500

All of the work at that happens at Mount Moriah Cemetery relies on our volunteers and donors. We cannot thank you enough!
