Completing Our Orphanage’s Classrooms!
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m so excited to share an update about this incredible orphanage in Uganda, which has been a source of joy and hope for so many children.
They are working hard to complete their school, and they need our help to finish the building. Any donations, big or small, help! Here’s a message from the owner of the orphanage:
Dear Supporters,
I am so excited to share the latest update on the Wisdom Orphanage School! Thanks to your amazing generosity, we have successfully completed the roofing of the four-classroom building. This is a major milestone, and we are truly grateful for the love and support we’ve received from all of you.
But the work is far from over, and there is still much to be done to turn this building into a fully functional school that will serve the children for many years to come. I’m reaching out to keep you informed about the next steps and how your continued support will make a significant difference.
Here’s what’s next:
Phase 1:
Flooring and Painting: We will be completing the flooring and finishing the painting of the classrooms to ensure that the children have a comfortable and vibrant environment in which to learn.
Phase 2:
Electrical Work and Lighting: The next step is to install electrical wiring and lighting throughout the classrooms, ensuring a well-lit and safe learning environment.
Phase 3:
Classroom Furniture and Learning Tools: We will then purchase and install the essential furniture—desks, chairs, windows, doors—and provide the necessary learning materials to support the children's education.
This four-classroom building is a crucial step in our mission to provide these children with the education and opportunities they deserve. It will also serve as a space for community gatherings and events, benefiting the entire area.
I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support. No contribution is too small, and every donation helps bring us closer to completing this vital project. Together, we are changing lives and creating a better future for these children.

Thank you once again for your generosity!
With heartfelt gratitude,

More Information about Shape:
My name is Nzayisenga Yeredi, popularly known as SHAPE BBEMBE.
I was born like any other child into a humble Christian family. As I started growing up, I was taken to school. After a while, when I was in primary four, my father, who was the family caretaker, suffered from malaria and shortly passed away, leaving us with six children, me being the eldest at 13 years old.
Since the death of my father, life became hard because my mother, who used to be a housewife, now had to think about how to look after the family. At 13 years old, I started looking for opportunities to work, but nobody would give me a job. And by the way, what job could I do? I lost hope of going to school, but my teachers followed up on me. One day, the headteacher came to our home looking for me to find out why I hadn’t been attending school.
When I finished my primary education, I passed with flying colors. Sadly, my classmates moved on to high school, but I couldn’t. As I was still looking for a job, one person in my village entrusted me with his banana plantation to manage, and my reward would be the commission from any customers I brought to buy bananas. Whenever I earned, I didn’t forget my helpless siblings and mother. At this tender age, I had already become the breadwinner of the family.
I will never forget one Friday when I met a man who seemed to know me well, but I couldn’t recognize him. He was riding a bicycle, stopped, and called my name. He introduced himself as Christopher and asked me if I knew him. The truth was, I had heard his name but couldn’t remember. He asked me if I was still studying. I told him that I had completed primary school and passed well, but there was no opportunity for me to join high school. He promised to come for me, and indeed he came, took me for interviews, and introduced me to the headteacher as an orphan. Lucky enough, I was given the opportunity to study.
A few months later, things turned around. The school administration and management changed in the process. I became an orphan again for the second time. Christopher had become my godfather. I dropped out of school due to lack of school fees and scholastic materials.
To take you back, one of the co-curricular activities I enjoyed was music. One time, our school had hired a music trainer who came to train us. During this course, he identified me as one of the capable and talented students. However, I used to be irregular in his training as I spent most of my time working on the school farm projects.
During the December long-term school holiday, I saw a messenger introducing himself as Arthur. He told me that Teacher Andrew was looking for me. He took me on his bicycle to meet Andrew, who informed me that he had found a school that helps underprivileged, talented children. Andrew became my “savior.” I went to study there on full sponsorship. He also helped me with scholastic materials and moral support, as he told me that he had been through a similar life.
From Zero to Hero:
Right from my childhood, I loved the idea of becoming a teacher. It’s no surprise that, when I finished my studies, I graduated as a diploma teacher. I began working with schools and volunteering with non-governmental organizations dealing with children. I met children who were facing different life challenges. These children and youth were hopeless, just like I was before! They had lost hope, and some even tried to commit suicide. Some were total orphans and homeless, drug addicts, children from extremely poor families, children facing domestic violence, school dropouts, and children with chronic diseases like HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life difficulties. I became a living testimony for them to have hope through counseling and guidance.
It is upon this background that I got the idea and vision to start the official restoration of hope for young generations. Thus, HILCO (Hope In Life Children’s Organization) Foundation was born.
