Compassion Ministry Mali

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I am sure you all know me very well. I would like to first thank you for your love, kindness, generosity, and support in our ministry; it wouldn’t be possible without every one of you.
It has now been five months since my mission trip to Mali last July. I can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that the girl that came back from Mali is totally different from the girl that got on that plane. It was an experience that humbled me greatly.
While I was in Mali, the Lord gave me a beautiful opportunity to work with some street kids. Street kids consist of children that are homeless and children whose families have given them to the Muslim Marabout (religious leader) to learn the Quran along with some other religious practices.
What these children are forced to do is beg on the streets for money and go through bins to search for valuable items. A lot of these children are in poor health conditions, illiterate, malnourished, and dirty. Some of these children are as young as three years old, and some of the preteen girls are required to take care of the babies whom they take out on the streets with them.
When I was there, we did a program with them; we hired a chef, cooked some food, played games with the kids, and shared the gospel with them. If you want to have more details on how my mission trip went, please check out the video below.
In November last year, the Lord moved me to team up with Simone and Rachel and do a ministry with the street kids.
What we offer so far:
• A hot meal once per month.
• Gospel sharing and some games. The last message was about forgiveness and Jesus, who took our sins, and through him we have life. The messages touched the children, and they responded very well to it.
• The children are challenging to work with, but we believe the power of the Gospel can soften their hearts and win them to Christ.
What we aim to offer from the 30th of January 2025:
• A hot meal once a week to the children.
• Onsite free medical consultation offered by one of our volunteers, Aleazor, the tall gentleman in one of the photos; he is a qualified doctor.
• We would need to supply the material and medication for the children.
• Games, as we want to give the children the opportunity to be children for that moment, they are with us.
• We plan to work alongside three Marabouts for the work to avoid stepping on any toes.
• A Bible-based lesson and teach them Bible verses.
We ask brothers and sisters, first, for your prayers. I am not an expert in ministry, but I am open to learning from those that have trod the path before me.
Please pray that the Lord will bless the work and that He will accomplish through us what He intends to do.
We would also like to ask for financial support; a weekly donation of 5 euros will help us to achieve the work that we aim to do. Currently 90% of the funding is coming out of my own pocket, with a generous 10% coming from you guys.
We believe if we come together, we can truly bring the love of Christ to these kids. Mali is 95% Islam, so there are lots of opportunities there.
