Feeding the Homeless: Compassion Feed the Needy

WHO WE ARE:
Compassion Feed The Needy has the commitment of meeting the homeless where they are to meet their practical needs and showing the unconditional love of God through serving.

For the past three years with CFTN, we have done monthly feedings at Cabot Square in downtown Montreal. With the help our CFTN GO volunteer team, we bring hot meals in the park and serve for lunchtime. We also run a clothing drive to distribute warm jackets, socks, gloves, etc in winter seasons for the homeless and newcomers to Canada. In the Christmas season, we prepare blessing packages as gifts with the help from donors 



OUR GOAL:
The donations from this fundraiser will fund The Mobile Truck project. We will purchase a mobile truck equipped with kitchen & storage space to efficiently connect donors and the people in need of support. We will collect donations from the food industries excess and redistribute it. 


SCHOOL SUPPLIES & BOOK DRIVE FOR ETHIOPIA
CFTN has other projects started like the collection & distribution of school supplies to schools for children in Ethiopia.

The next generation of Ethiopians need library books not guns! So many of us have watched with sadness on the stories of hateful killing in Ethiopia. The unity of Ethiopia can be asserted when Ethiopians stand united, find a common ground and fight poverty.
For this, CFTN is running a library book drive for all regions of Ethiopia. In the future, we hope to build a library in Ethiopia as part of our international initiatives.

LONG TERM PROJECT
Our 2nd project is a distribution station with fridge. The use of this space would be to store & sort the donated food items before distribution.
