Community Women's Initiative (CWI) is a non-profit, student-led organization of medical students at the University of British Columbia, united by a common goal to support and empower women in our communities.

Shelters throughout BC are often underfunded and overwhelmed, and our annual item drive is one way we work to help! On September 6th, CWI will be holding an item drive to collect donations for women’s shelters across the Lower Mainland Area. At the item drive, we will be collecting donations such as feminine hygiene products, toiletries, and housing supplies, as well as monetary donations, and distributing them to our partnering shelters and women’s organizations across the province.

In past years, our drives have been highly successful, raising over $2,500 annually in donations and collecting numerous items for shelters!
