This is a fundraiser for an event and clubhouse space in Toronto for our community. (Note: We're prevented from better describing our community because of word restrictions, but hopefully you've been linked here from somewhere with context.)
Several cities in the U.S. and Canada have membership-based organizations with a physical presence. This fundraiser is to support Toronto's own effort towards a community space to hang out, socialize, play, learn and feel comfortable in.
The primary goal is funding initial rent and leasehold improvements for a community centre space in Toronto.

This fundraiser will run until March 31.
Overall, our goal is $8000. To accommodate requests, you may alternatively contribute to our GoFundMe or in person to Ardis. We will also be doing other fundraising.
How to Donate
You can make your donation right here on GoFundMe, and see your reward level. If at the end of the campaign we haven't reached our goal, your contribution will be returned.
If you'd prefer to donate in person or through another means, DM -Ardis- on FL, send an email or see Ardis at an event. If you're making a sizable contribution in cash, please just let Ardis know the amount and hold it in your own trust until March 31.
Regardless of how you choose to contribute, you'll get rewards! If you donate, then donate again, we will stack your donations to achieve the higher reward level.
All benefits will be distributed when the centre opens.
How Safe is My Donation?
GoFundMe allows campaigns to be refunded. If the campaign is not 100% funded to $8000 by March 31, I - Ardis - will initiate the automatic refund through GoFundMe. Due to privacy issues, timing delays and limitations on types of campaigns, we aren't able to use the other major crowdfunding platform. So, you'll just have to take my (Ardis') word that no funds will be withdrawn until and unless the full funding is realized by March 31.
If you feel at all uncomfortable with that and would like to simply pledge to contribute, email [email redacted] with the amount you're pledging, your name and/or name you'd like to appear on this GoFundMe. I will mark it as an offline contribution, and you promise to hold the funds yourself until March 31.

When will I get these rewards?

What are Organizer Privileges?
Being an event organizer is an opportunity to craft a unique party, meet a ton of new friends, and usually make a bit of money from your event.
With organizer privileges, you can host as many events as you'd like at the centre with our full support! We need a diverse calendar of events happening all the time to keep people engaged. Hopefully this gives some literal buy-in from those looking to organize fun events for the community! You get a percentage of door sales in exchange for hosting.
The Fine Print
* Membership includes early access to the members-only section of the website and the ability to attend events at the space once it opens. Membership will last for one year following the Centre opening, then will need to be renewed.
* There will be a $30 door fee cap for free party admissions. Most parties will fall below the cap, this is just to account for special parties with additional costs borne by the organizer. Free admissions will be valid for one year from when the Centre opens.
* T-shirts and waterbottles will be available for pickup when the Centre opens.
* Organizer privileges are dependent on continued membership in the Centre. Although we haven't fleshed out the details of our policies yet, organizing privileges may be revoked just as membership can be to protect the safety of Centre members."
* Day use includes private use of the main event space/dungeon Monday-Friday daytime. This is perfect for professionals, photoshoots and private play!
* Prime time events have a 70/30 door split if your event has less than 30 paid attendees. If you go over 30, the split for the entire event drops to 50/50. This helps us cover our rent, encourages organizers to drive attendance, and allows room for costs.
* Contribute $1000+ and keep 100% of the door for a night of your choosing. If you're an event organizer, or would like to be, this is your best option. All you need to cover your contribution is 40 people at $25, and the rest would be your party profit. Future parties will be at the 70/30 until 30, then 50/50 split as above.
"* Free +1 for life means you'll get a second admittance free when attending any Centre party. There will be a $30 cap on the +1 as with other free admittance.
