The Mission
I’m Verral Paul-Walcott, and for years, my team and I have been on the front lines in North London and beyond. Whether it’s feeding the homeless through our "Tab System," providing emergency supplies via the C86erz cycling network, or reuniting families, our work is about one thing: Direct action without the red tape.
The New Frontier: Supporting Survivors of Domestic Abuse
The work is evolving because the need is changing. We are now regularly called upon to help survivors of domestic violence.
When someone makes the brave decision to leave an abusive home, they often flee with nothing but the clothes on their back. Many are terrified to return for their belongings, and as a result, they lose everything—their furniture, their clothes, and their children’s toys.
I want to change that. We have the storage space to hold these items while survivors transition to safety, but we lack the wheels to get them there.
The Problem: We’ve Outgrown the blue caddy
We’ve been doing this out of blue caddy you see me with and on bikes, but we’ve reached a breaking point:
Domestic Abuse Aid: We can’t move a survivor’s bed, wardrobe, or essential home items in a hatchback.
Bulk Relief: We are turning down large food and clothing donations because we literally cannot transport them.
Efficiency: My team is making four or five trips to do what should take one.
The Goal: A Dedicated Community Van
I am raising funds for a reliable, ULEZ-compliant van. This vehicle will be more than just transport; it will be a mobile rescue unit. It will allow us to:
Emergency Moves: Safely and quickly extract the belongings of those fleeing domestic violence so they can rebuild their lives with dignity.
Food Logistics: Pick up large-scale donations from supermarkets to keep our community larders full.
Winter Response: Deliver bulky items like tents, heavy coats, and sleeping bags across all 27 London boroughs we serve.
Where Your Money Goes
Every pound goes toward:
The purchase of a high-capacity van.
Insurance, ULEZ compliance, and maintenance.
Fuel to keep us moving 24/7 across the city.
A Message from Verral
A house is just bricks, but the things inside it make a home. For a survivor or a person on the street, those items represent their past and their future. By donating, you are helping us provide the physical strength needed to move people toward a better life.
Let’s get these wheels on the road. No contribution is too small.
