If you've ever stopped by the market on a weekday morning, you've likely seen our neighbor Van and his sweet pup Sammy sitting out front. Van works nights and comes to the market for morning coffee and pastries to unwind after his night shift in SF. Unfortunately Van has been asked to vacate his home without new housing arranged, less than two weeks before a major surgery that will keep him out of work for six weeks while he recovers. Van plans to stay at a shelter in SF until he can find new housing and return to work.

We're sad to see Van and Sammy move out of the neighborhood, but more importantly, we're concerned that they'll need to stay in a shelter while Van recovers from surgery.
