Bond Support for Napa Valley College Student
Donation protected
Dear Community,
Let’s get our community member bonded out! As many of you know, one of our Napa Valley College students was detained by ICE when attempting to return from a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) conference in Puerto Rico. After several traumatic weeks, she was granted bond by an Immigration Judge in Miami, FL. Thirty three individuals and groups sent letters of support to the Immigration Judge to confirm their steadfast support of this individual. She is an exemplary biomedical engineering student, friend, daughter, and sister.
This incident has been a challenging experience for the student and a heartbreaking experience for everyone else involved in our community at large. We can get her home, but must raise money to get her out of detention. As soon as we raise funds, she will be released.
In an effort to raise funds for the student and the family, we created this Go Fund Me page. Many of you have asked how you could support the student and the family, and we would appreciate any financial support you can provide for this student’s bond. Feel free to share with anyone who would like to support the family. Out of respect for the student and family, we are keeping her name confidential.
Thank you very much for your steadfast support.
