Hello everyone, my name is Ali, and I’m reaching out for support after a very difficult and painful experience.

On July 3, 2025, I created a GoFundMe campaign to help my friends. I shared it on Twitter, and about three hours later, someone contacted me saying he knew a way to help my campaign receive donations.

I asked who he was, and he told me he had seen my campaign and that someone had helped him with his own fundraiser before. I asked for proof, and he showed me his campaign. I believed him.

What Happened

He then told me to contact another person. When I did, that person said he could help my campaign only if I paid him. I questioned this, but he kept pressuring me, saying that if I didn’t pay, I would never receive donations.

He kept swearing to God, and because I believe in God, I trusted him.

Later, he asked for my password. I told him I didn’t want to give it to him, but he said it was the only way he could help my campaign. I believed him.

After about one month, he changed my password. When I confronted him, he apologized and gave it back. Over the next three months, he continued to take advantage of me. He made me send money through Fiverr and Upwork, and I ended up giving him my password six different times. Each time, he changed it again.

The Loss

I know now that I should not have trusted him, but at the time, I truly believed him.

In the end, I was able to secure my accounts, but I lost around $13,000. That amount of money has been devastating for me. I’ve tried everything to recover it, but nothing has worked.

I have all the messages, payment records, and proof saved. For privacy reasons, I can’t post everything publicly, but I am not afraid to share the truth with anyone who asks.
