Community Support for the Mimbs Family
Donation protected
To our dear community and beyond,
As many of you may know, our beloved Mimbs family is suffering in the face of a tragic unexpected mental health crisis. So many have reached out wondering how to help. This huge outpouring of love and support gives us hope in our humanity. This dear family will need financial support, as well as moral and community support.
So much is unknown about the cruel and terrifying onset of some mental health disorders. Sometimes there is little warning and the first sign is extreme and devastating, as is their case. And sadly, the system that COULD help, often falls short.
There is a philosophy with African origins called Ubuntu, meaning humanity. It is often translated as, “I am because we are,” or “humanity towards others.” In other words, we share a bond that connects all humanity. Your joy is my joy and your pain is my pain.
The Mimbs are in pain and so, too, are we all. They will need help with legal fees, travel expenses and loss of wages and so much more as they navigate this. If you can offer financial support, please do. Kind and loving words help, too. Please hold all of them in your hearts and peaceful, loving thoughts. Thank you so much….
