Hello, my name is Alyssa Angell.
As many of you know, we had a tremendous loss in the community.
Last Friday Marilyn decided to take her life.
As you can imagine, losing a child is beyond repair. Her parents Tara and Jason need time to mourn and come to terms with their new normal. I'm asking the community for help with their financial burdens they face now with funeral arrangements and giving her parents enough time off of work to grieve.
With this, I would like to say, this is not the first suicide with a youth tied to our Heights community. Just a couple of months ago, we lost another little boy. Something has to be done; this needs to be loud. As of right now, we do not have information on funeral arrangements. There is a box at the field on the corner of West Wicks and High Sierra. It has note cards and pens inside. Please feel free to write a kind note to the family or a fond memory you have with Marilyn.
She was a daughter, a sister, a friend; she was my daughter's friend. The most beautiful long brown hair, such a contagious smile, such a soft voice.
Please talk to your children and stop the bullying.
Keep this family and all the people and children affected by this in your prayers.
There will be a candlelight vigil at the box on Tuesday, October 28th at 6 pm. Please come early to grab Baloons. Please come join us in prayer.
