Community support as we transition.

I’m big on being in community, supporting community and raising my kids as an intentional part of community. I teach my children to speak up when support is needed so am leading by example.

Our family has gone through some transition since our new addition. Being a small Black business owner I am not afforded maternity leave, nor am I able to take the adequate time, space and rest postpartum that is needed and recommended for healing. I’m asking my community for support for my family and I as we transition through this period as a family. As a fully engaged parent, I don’t want my current lack of resources and business to determine how they are able to experience and be apart of community and be children.
