Alyssa Peterson's Bench Build Memorial Project

We invite you to join us in celebrating the life of Alyssa Lucille Peterson by helping raise dollars to support TWO memorial bench projects dedicated Alyssa’s memory.
Alyssa Lucille Peterson died by suicide on Nov. 2, 2019. She was 13. Alyssa was an honor student, avid soccer player, and skier. Alyssa was an 8th grader at Oberon Middle School in Arvada. Her friends, family, and teammates will miss her kindness, curiosity, and generous spirit.
The community of loving supporters has joined forces to support the Peterson family in TWO Bench Projects.
Project #1: An original, hand-built, hand-painted wooden bench with colorful artistic images and elements of Alyssa’s favorite things will be placed at Oberon Middle School in Arvada, Colo. Funds from this bench project will support the bench construction/supplies and artist honorarium/supplies.
The big reveal for Bench Project #1 will be on Saturday, March 13 in celebration of Alyssa’s 15th Birthday. There will be sweets, hot chocolate, and an opportunity to sign the bench.

***All safety and social distancing guidelines will be enforced. Wear a mask and don’t attend if you’re feeling ill or have Covid symptoms.
Project #2: An exquisite marble bench will be ordered and placed near her grave site at Crown Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, Colo. Completion for this project will be later this year.
