Community Security Funds organized by CoCoMaine

COCOMAINE's (Congolese Community of Maine) mission is to facilitate integration and orientation of the Congolese people new to Maine. To assist Congolese families in search of affordable housing, food services, acquiring employment, finding childcare services & general settlement.  To promote entrepreneurship and Congolese culture and value through educational, social events, public forums within the State of Maine. CoCoMaine is focused on serving our community members with assistance with food security, housing and citizenship processes. This fund-request is to provide our families with general household needs during this time of social-distancing. We plan to provide families with a variety of provisions including food, face masks, household cleaning items, hand sanitizer, diapers and other children's' needs.  With the help of our greater Portland community we are confident our families won't have to feel the immediate pressure of providing for their families during this time of uncertainty, especially when the fear of leaving their homes is real and at times not an option. CoCoMaine is here to help. Your generous donation will help carry our families over this hurdle and continue to a path of normalcy.  CoCoMaine will continue to support our families even after the pandemic with the hard working team and the gracious support of our community aboard.
