Hi, my name is Josh, and I'm the Lead Pastor at Gawler Uniting Church.

Our church is FOR the community of Gawler, with a deep desire to see every person discover hope, purpose, and a sense of belonging.

Six years ago, we built a playground that quickly became a cherished gathering place for families across our community. It has been central to our weekly playgroup, connecting 40-50 families, as well as our other family ministries and the Early Learning Centre next door. For many, this playground has been a place of joy, connection, and laughter.

In October, we were devastated to discover one morning, that this beloved playground was completely destroyed in an arson attack. This loss has left a significant gap in our community, especially for the children and families who relied on it as a safe and welcoming space.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from the Gawler community and beyond, and we’re thrilled that insurance will cover the cost of rebuilding the playground itself. However, to prevent something like this from happening again, we need your help.

We are seeking financial support to install security cameras and lighting to protect the new playground. These upgrades will help ensure it remains a safe and secure space for generations to come.
