Thank you for finding your way to Stacey’s story. We are two of Stacey Gabriel's oldest friends; we’ve known her since high school and, despite going to different schools, colleges and walking different paths, Stacey has remained an unwavering constant in our lives.

Stacey is one of our rocks. She is exactly the kind of friend you want in your corner: hilarious, a walking encyclopedia, supportive, kind-hearted, generous, and the kind of person who will make time to care for others - even in a moment she needs care herself. She has been one of the most reliable people in all of her closest circles, and now we are hoping to do the same for her.

Earlier this year, Stacey made the decision to move back home from San Francisco,
to spend more time with her father and care for Roxanne, her older sister with special needs.

On March 9th, Stacey went to help Roxanne with breakfast and discovered that her father, Gualberto Gabriel, had collapsed. He passed away from a heart attack suddenly after cleaning the backyard to prepare it for his family for the spring. Gualberto now joins Stacey’s mother, who passed in 2014.

As the family attempts to heal from this immense loss, Stacey has taken on the role of Roxanne’s full-time caregiver. It has been almost a year since this adjustment, and while there are so many positives for someone as loving and caring as Stacey to take on these responsibilities, she has been unable to work a standard full-time job, and is limited to part-time roles.

As the holiday season rolls in and Stacey continues to face the financial realities of working part-time, being a full-time caregiver, covering the home’s mortgage and household expenses — largely on her own, we are hoping to alleviate some of the financial stress so she can focus on healing and caring for her sister. After a big year of being a huge support to others, in lieu of her own time of need, we are hoping to return the what she gives, tenfold.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in keeping their home running. And if you cannot donate monetarily, please reach out to her—we know a message of love would bring a big smile to her face.

If you’d like to support further, any shares are appreciated!

Thank you!
