Lisa Simonsen, unexpectedly fell on July 4th, resulting in a trip to the ER in West Point.

West Point is where a doctor found a mass on her brain. From there she was transported to UNMC in Omaha for testing, more scans, and surgery.

She had to undergo a tumor resection on the left side of her brain. She came out of that, and is now in Norfolk in a rehab facility to work on her speech, memory, motor skills, and more.

We have created this GoFundMe in hopes her community will give back, whether it’s a donation, a get well card, gift cards, or sharing this link.

Lisa has been in the Lyons community almost her entire life and most of her career. She’s has given 20+ years of hard work and dedication to the school, teaching kids, loving kids, and driving children. One of my best memories is her making the kids days during lunch and recess, she was always so fun to be around. She’s also watched those same kids every summer at the pool for 8+ years.

She gave to the community in all the ways she could and we hope the community can help her. Lisa has a long road ahead for recovery and the future is still unclear. These funds are to help cover medical bills and expenses.
