On the night of December 23rd, a large storm ripped through Santa Cruz, snapping a large redwood tree to pieces and crushing my brother Cedar's home. Cedar was woken at 3 a.m. by a loud crash as the walls of his bedroom crumpled around him, nearly crushing him. Although he was lucky to escape unharmed, his home, a large trailer, is in dire need of replacement or repair.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help my brother recover from the loss of his home and make sure he has a safe place to live. Over the years, Cedar has turned this trailer into a truly special home, making upgrades and decorating it with love and pride. My hope is that as a community, we can help him get back on his feet, make sure he has a safe place to live and thrive, and make him feel less alone as he works to replace or repair his home.
