Community Kitchen in Deir El Balah

Hi I'm Shams, and I'm fundraising to support a community kitchen in Deir El Balah. My friend and colleague Fadi Thabet has never turned anyone away, despite his extremely limited means. Today, everyone in Gaza relies on community kitchens to survive, but those kitchens do not have the necessary supplies. It has been two months since the complete closure of all entry points. Not a single grain of wheat has been allowed in, with over two million people suffering to get even one meal day. The little available in markets are astronomically priced, and most people in Gaza live on daily wages - but for a year and a half most people have lost their jobs.

This fundraising campaign is to buy whatever is available in the markets of food supplies and give them to the local community kitchen, so they can continue to do their life saving work. Every bit helps. Put aside money you would otherwise spend on cigarettes, snacks, coffee, going out, or any other secondary issues - so that you can help people meet their primary needs.
