In case you don't know us yet, we are Community Highlight. A tiny Community Based Organisation, registered in Domasi, Malawi.
But despite our size, we deliver projects and programmes that reach thousands of people every year on a shoestring budget.
- We run four village schools offering free education to local children
- We run a student sponsorship programme, offering children financial support through their schooling programme
- We run a feeding programme, offering free breakfast to hundreds of children every single school day
- We run health awareness programmes, including malaria and HIV/AIDS Awareness, often offering free testing and long-term advice
- We run a beehive project, that focuses on generating sustainable income for our HIV Support group
- We support community members on an individual basis during times of extreme need e.g.food poverty, funerals, school fees
All of these projects are led by the people of Domasi, for the people of Domasi. On the UK side, we are all volunteers. This means 100% of your donation will go direct to our programme work.
We are so proud to still be here, working with this community, delivering this work. But this year, times are tougher than ever, and we need your support in order to be able to keep these core projects running.
We are hoping to raise a minimum of £3,000 to support our work for the next six months. At the six month point, we will re-assess and work out priorities for the remainder of the year.
Updates will be shared here, on our website and on our social media channels but as ever, if you have any specific questions please do reach out to us at [email redacted]
Thank you so much for continuing to believe in what we are doing in Domasi.
Here's to more sustainable, empowering project work in 2026.
Zikomo Kwambiri,
Community Highlight team
