Hi I’m Jack and I am a Community Champion for Epping Forest District Council in Waltham Abbey.

As part of my volunteering, I work alongside colleagues running a community cafe for local residents that is kindly supported by the towns Fire Station who lend us their facilities every Thursday.

The firemen and women are pivotal in their support towards us and are planning a Community Garden, that will not only be somewhere for them to relax and unwind after a shout, but will benefit the wider community and local schools growing all sorts of plants and vegetables.

To show support and thanks to them, I would like to start this fundraiser to buy a bench for them to relax on after a shout.

It’s not a huge ask, but if anyone can donate- maybe giving the amount you would normally spend on a takeaway coffee, then we can reach our modest total. If we are lucky enough to raise more than the amount- any residual monies will go towards more plants for the garden.
