Community Garden Project

My name is Kate, and I am raising funds to facilitate the creation of a community garden at Gosling Meadows. I am finishing a master’s degree, and the final requirement is a capstone project aimed at “building coalitions for a just and peaceful future.” The goal is to widen our tolerance, respect and love for others and the earth we walk on. This project will unfold collaboratively with the interested residents and in coalition with Gather and Safe Harbor. The garden will offer the participants the opportunity to grow their own food, access the regenerative power of getting their hands in the dirt, and build connections with others. Children of all ages could start seeds at school, plant the seedlings in the spring, and eat the results, experiencing what nature has to offer them. The project will require gardening tools, supplies, and possibly outside labor for some of the building (fence, etc). Please contact me if you'd like to contribute any of the above.
