Help Keep "Pantryat219" Running: Feeding 700+ Neighbors Weekly
We are fundraising for Pantryat219 —the only 24/7 outdoor community fridge and pantry in Fairfield County. Since 2020, this essential resource has served as a beacon of hope for families and individuals facing food insecurity.
What started as a grassroots project has grown into a vital lifeline. Today, we see more than 700 visitors every week. From families trying to bridge the gap between paychecks to neighbors experiencing homelessness, Pantryat219 provides access to fresh produce and non-perishables at any hour of the day or night.
Our dedicated team of four volunteers works daily to keep the shelves stocked, partnering with incredible organizations like Food Rescue US and the Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport. However, it takes over $5,000 annually to cover the basics: transportation, utilities, upkeep, and emergency grocery restocks.
Our Next Step:
Beyond daily operations, we are planning to build a dedicated facility to store food surplus, allowing us to help even more people. Your donation ensures that in Fairfield County, no one has to go hungry.
