NORTHERN STAR is a Community Arts Charity based in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull. The charity supports members of the local community with a complex range of needs through projects and groups focussing on wellbeing including:

-A Mental Health Drop-In support group

-Drama groups to help young people express themselves and deal with complex life issues.

-Social support groups

-A parent-toddler group

-Supporting 3 Beans Kitchen - a not-for-profit community cafe

as well as 1-2-1 support for the elderly, adults and young people facing challenges that affect their abilities to live a normal life.

The charity is currently running around half of it's groups with no funding to support or develop the work within these groups, and without further funding, some of these VITAL groups may have to stop.

With other organisations cutting services within the community, Northern Star is a lifeline for many adults and young people, and the work we do has made such a difference to individuals lives that basic things like eating well, social interaction, self care and general wellbeing has improved beyond measure.

Every donation will support the sustainability of this crucial work.
