Community Angel's Feed Over 800 Seniors Every Single Month

Hi, our names are Gail Smit & Maria Killam and we are raising funds for an organization providing food for seniors experiencing food insecurity. This is a story about a couple who put people above profit and bring a whole lot of love, hope & goodwill to our Chilliwack Community. Right now they need our help.

Brigida & Tony Pitzoff are the owners of TYDEL Foods. Their business sells high quality meat at a discounted price to the public. People in the community who shop at the store generate income and the profit helps supply food for the 800+ seniors who are in the program.

Note... TYDEL Foods Senior's Program is now a nonprofit under the name: "COMMUNITY ANGELS Food & Housing Support Society".

Here's how it works:

Seniors pay $125 per month to help cover the monthly cost of the meat. They get all their fresh fruit & vegetables and non-perishables for free. For those who cannot afford this, they pay whatever they can and in some cases, they pay nothing.

Due to the economy, and for the first time in the four years since opening TYDEL Foods, they have experienced a significant drop in revenue, while having an increase in need.

After hearing Brigida's story we just had to get the word out.

When the income from the store slowed, Tony & Brigida started using their own money to support the seniors but that is almost gone. As you can imagine, this leaves them in a very unstable position. Both Brigida & Tony have literally given everything they have to help people in need.

What further inspires us about Brigida is her heart. She has become a source of love & emotional support for the elderly who really need an ear or shoulder from time to time.

This extraordinary couple & the volunteers who work alongside them are heroes to so many vulnerable people in our community. They now need our help to keep doing the hard work.

Please consider assisting us in raising the funds required to pay off the following debt...

Freezers $ 50,000

Walk-in Coolers $ 33,000

Suppliers $ 25,000 (to bring payables up to date)

Total: $108,000

Once these items are paid in full there will be no more payments, (aside from rent) freeing up thousands each month for the programs... not to mention taking off immense pressure.
